The matrix: reloaded - The Matrix Reloaded Reviews

This movie ruled, best movie I've seen in theaters since...The Matrix. The first 30 minutes in fact blowed. Anything taking place in Zion = boring. But once the movie picks up, it rarely takes a break to let you down, and any boring parts are easily made up for with the incredible action scenes. Neo/Keanu Reeves = He's still the main character, but one of the best scenes takes place when he's not around (a long freeway chase scene.) He can do almost anything he wants within the Matrix, but still for some reason has a bit of trouble warding off about 50 Agent Smiths (Hugo Weaving)....Don't get me wrong he kicks all of their asses (in a very spectacular scene) but come on, he's "The One". Morpheus (Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) have their moments, they shine most during the huge chase scene on the freeway, but that's about it for them as far as amazement, they of course are crucial to the story though. Hugo Weaving, as Agent Smith, my personal favorite character. I love his voice, it's EVIL, reminds me of the Unsolved mysterys guy but in more of a "funny evil" type of way. It was amazing seeing Neo fight off about 50 of them, the scene is identifable as a computer enhanced scene, but it's done so well that you don't even care, it looks real enough! Jada Pinkett Smith (As Niobee) Has a very small role in the movie as Morpheus' ex flame, doesn't get much screen time, maybe we'll see more of her in the 3rd film in November, but, she wasn't all too impressing anyway, so I won't be crying if shes not in it much. So The story goes, Neo is trying to get ahold of the missing Oracle to get some guidance after realizing he's "The One" (Not the same "One" From the Jet Li movie of the same name). After finding her, he gets an earful and has some funny dialuge with her and then seeks the keymaker who will help him open the door where all of the answers lie (or so he thinks.) That's the movie in a nutshell, to say anymore would spoil it. Other notable mentions are The Ghost Twin characters, very cool effects used to make them turn into ghost like figures. The Kung Fu seems lacking sometimes, the only scene (action wise) that disappointed me a little was Neos fight with the Oracles bodyguard. They moved a little slow (and I know the Bodyguard is a Martial Artist) and I dunno, the fight seemed more like a space filler. If you liked the first movie you will love this one, the end has a major twist that left a smile on my face when leaving the theater and makes you want to see the final chapter of the trilogy even more. The movie starts off a tad sluggish but once it picks up, you don't even care, you'll be in awe, I loved the movie, I'm seeing it again Friday. By the way, after the credits is a Trailer for the Third Installment. 9/10
